TinyFication was born out of frustration. Every image compression tool we tried either uploaded files to some anonymous server, nagged you to sign up, slapped a daily limit on free use, or all three at once. We wanted something different — fast, honest, and private by design.

The result is TinyFication: a free online image compressor that runs entirely inside your browser. When you compress a file here, it never touches our servers (we don't have any). Your photos stay on your device. Always.

What We Built

TinyFication supports PNG, JPEG, and WebP compression with four adjustable modes — from near-lossless Quality mode to the ultra-aggressive Maximum mode that squeezes every last byte. You can batch-upload dozens of images at once and download each compressed file individually.

Under the hood, PNG files are processed with an 8-bit palette quantisation algorithm (similar in spirit to pngquant), while JPEG and WebP files use intelligent lossy re-encoding. All of this runs in your browser via standard JavaScript and Canvas APIs — no plugins, no extensions, no installation required.

Why Compression Matters

Images account for the largest share of bytes on most web pages — typically 50–70% of total page weight. An unoptimised 4 MB photo from a smartphone camera can be compressed to under 500 KB with no perceptible quality loss. Multiply that across a full website and the impact on load times, bandwidth costs, and user experience is enormous.

Google's Core Web Vitals — particularly Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) — are directly influenced by image file sizes. Lighter images load faster, LCP improves, and rankings can follow. TinyFication makes it trivially easy to compress images before publishing them anywhere online.

Privacy Policy

TinyFication does not collect personal data. Images you compress are processed entirely within your browser and are never transmitted to any server. This site uses Google AdSense for advertising, which may set cookies to show relevant ads based on your browsing history. You can manage or opt out of interest-based advertising at Google Ad Settings.

We do not use analytics trackers, fingerprinting scripts, or any form of session recording. The only third-party code on this site is the Google AdSense script.
